Description
Maine Thread twisted waxed cord has exceptional strength and durability. This cord is made of 100% polyester high-tenacity yarn and is constructed with a right or “S” twist. Twisted cords are ideal for saddlery, leathercraft, pine-needle basketry, and more.
All sizes comes with 70 yards per tube.

Needles
Many crafters use harness needles when sewing with waxed cord. Harness needles have a rounded point and are often used for hand-stitching leather. We recommend the following pairings for needle and thread

Wonderful Thread
I ordered the Yellow in .40 for a project I havent gotten around too but recently was charged with making a holster made to look as if it had come from Louis Vuitton so I finally got a chance to try the thread. I hand sew and this thread was a pleasure to use. Just enough wax! Some thread I buy has so much wax on it that it is difficult and messy to use. This was wonderful. the thread has a firm texture and the color was oh so juicy. I will be on the site again tomorrow picking up more thread in more colors. Thread is great and the price is nice.

yellow waxed cord.
I've purchased Scarlet and royal blue waxed cord. Both are easy to use. Strong, tough thread, holds stitched leather like a vice. Sews and pulls through punched leather like hot knife through butter. I am and will continue to be a repeat customer.
